1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Entrants must be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC as of May 14, 2011. Entrants must be present and in line to audition at the DC50 Talent Search local audition on Saturday, May 14 from 10am to 2pm EST until everyone in line has been seen (you must be in line no later than 2pm EST—the line cuts off at that time) at DTLR Westfield Wheaton Mall in order to enter.

2. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, audition participants must sign a Participant Release at the Audition Location, fill out an entry form, including name, age, address, e-mail address and daytime phone number and agree to have their video taken by a representative of DC50 at the Audition , and subsequently posted on the DC50 website (dc50tv.com). Entries must meet all DC50 Talent Search audition eligibility criteria, which is posted at [dc50tv.com]. DC50 will post all eligible entrant videos by Tuesday, May 17, 2011 @ 5:00pm. Entries that do not meet these requirements or are from entrants not present at the location set forth above within the allotted time period will be disqualified.

3. WINNER SELECTION: Once entrant photos are posted on the DC50 website, people will be invited to vote at DC50tv.com for their favorite correspondent in multiple rounds.

a. First Round: May 17-May 22, 2011: All eligible entrant videos will be posted for the First Round no later than [12:01PM] EST May 17, 2011. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at [12:01PM] EST through 11:59PM EST on Sunday, May 22, 2011. On Monday, May 23, 2011, the 50 entrant photos that receive the highest number of votes during the First Round will be deemed First Round Winners and will advance to the Second Round.

b. Second Round: May 23-May 29, 2011: All fifty First Round Winner videos will be posted for the Second Round no later than [12:01PM] EST on May 23, 2011. All votes from the First Round for the Second Round entrants will be reset. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from Monday, May 23, 2011 at [12:01PM] EST through 11:59PM EST Sunday, May 29, 2011. On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, the 25 entrant photos that receive the highest number of votes during the Second Round will be deemed Finalists and will advance to the Final Round.

c. Final Round: May 31-June 5, 2011: All twenty-five Finalist videos will be posted for the Final Round no later than [12:01PM] EST on May 31, 2011. All votes from the Second Round for the Final Round entrants will be reset. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at [5PM] EST through 11:59PM EST on Sunday, June 5, 2011. The Finalists whose photos receive the highest number of votes during the Final Round will be deemed the Viewer’s Choice Winner, subject to eligibility confirmation and compliance with these rules. The winners will be notified by phone and will be posted online. If any of the winners are determined to be ineligible, cannot be reached by reasonable means within a reasonable amount of time, or who otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules shall be disqualified, and the first runner up (i.e., the Finalist with the next highest number of votes earned during the Final Round) shall be deemed the winner.

4. ONLINE VOTING: Viewers and website users may vote by visiting dc50tv.com and clicking on the DC50 Talent Search link at any time during any of the winner selection rounds. There is no limit on the number of votes that may be cast by an individual; however, vote submissions containing technical or electronic reproductions will be rejected, and voting by e-mail and votes containing attached files are not eligible and will be disqualified as well. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, incomplete, damaged, illegible, late, or misdirected votes, or for errors in mechanical transmission, technical difficulties or inability to transmit votes. Sponsors reserve the right to prohibit any entrant from participating or voter from voting in the Contest if, at their sole discretion, Sponsors find such entrant or voter to be tampering with the entry voting process or if such individual repeatedly shows a disregard for, or attempts to circumvent, these Official Rules, or acts: (a) in a manner the Sponsors determine to be not fair or equitable; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsors; or (c) in any other disruptive manner.

5. PRIZES: The Finalist with the most votes will be declared the “Viewer’s Choice” Winner and will receive a $250 Gift Card (ARV: $250) plus an appearance on DC50. The “Casting Directors” Winner will be selected by a team of local casting directors and will receive a Gift Card for $500 (ARV: $500). In order to claim the prize, each Winner must present valid drivers’ license or state-issued identification card at the DC50 studios as instructed by Sponsor. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. Only one prize will be awarded per household. If any prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. All prizes are awarded “as-is” with no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, being provided by Sponsors.

6. CONDITIONS & RESTRICTIONS. Entrants agree Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Contest and that its decision is final and binding. Except where prohibited by law, entrants agree to allow use of their name, voice, photograph, likeness and any information provided on entry form, in any medium of communication, including print, Internet, radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, by Sponsor and/or its affiliates, without additional compensation. Each entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent companies and affiliates, and each of their employees, representatives, contractors, sponsors and advertisers, from any and all liability, loss, damage, costs or claims related to any allegation regarding the entry and participation in the Contest and for the winners, the award of, the receipt of, or the use of their prize. Sponsor is not responsible for personal injury of any prize winner incurred in connection with the use of their prize. Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to receiving their prize. Winners assume all applicable federal, state and local tax liability for their prize, and are responsible for any incidental expenses incurred herein not specifically mentioned, including without limitation travel expenses. All entry information, including the photo, becomes the property of the Sponsor.

Sponsor is not responsible for changes made to the Prizes being awarded, including any delay, cancellation or postponement of the Prize events, and is under no obligation to provide a substitute prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing or advertising of the offer, administration or execution of the contest or in the announcements of the prizes/prize winners.

7. ELIGIBILITY: Contest is not open to employees of Sponsor or their immediate family members, or to employees or immediate family of any of Sponsor’s affiliated companies, licensees, advertising or promotional agencies or to any employees of media outlets within the WDCW viewing area. Participants who have won a prize from Sponsor within the last six months are ineligible and will be disqualified.

9. 10. INTERNET: If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the Contest or the voting process, Sponsor reserves the right, in their its discretion, to terminate or suspend the Contest or any portion of the Contest. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE CONTEST. Information submitted in Internet entries, including but not limited to entrant's name, address, e-mail address, may be used by Sponsor for marketing, promotional or other purposes. Contest rules shall be governed and enforced pursuant to the laws of the District of Columbia, excluding choice of law provisions.
